Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Klypse.app ("Klypse", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of the service

Klypse is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that helps you turn long-form videos into short-form clips, including automated cutting, captions and social copy. The exact scope of features may change over time as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity in your jurisdiction to use Klypse. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Credits, plans and billing

Klypse uses a credit-based model: you purchase subscriptions and/or credit packs that allow you to process a certain number of minutes of video. Your dashboard shows your current credit balance and estimated processing minutes.

Payments are handled by Stripe. By subscribing to a plan or purchasing credits, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method linked to your account. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

We may change prices or plan structures in the future. Any changes will apply to new purchases and renewals; we will inform you in advance where legally required.

4. Use of the service

You agree to:

  • only upload content you have the right to use and process,
  • not upload illegal or harmful content,
  • not misuse Klypse for spam, harassment or other abusive behaviour,
  • comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that significantly violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your original content that you upload to Klypse. For the purpose of operating the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process your content technically (e.g. transcoding, transcription, AI processing) and to provide the resulting clips, captions and related outputs to you.

The Klypse platform itself, including design, code and branding, is protected by intellectual property rights and remains our property. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.

6. Refunds and cancellations

If you are on a subscription plan, you can cancel future renewals at any time via your account settings or billing portal. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access to the service and remaining credits typically continue until then.

As Klypse provides digital services and charges are based on processing minutes and usage, refunds are generally not provided once credits have been consumed or a processing job has started, except where required by law. If you believe a charge or processing result is incorrect, please contact support so we can review it.

7. Right of withdrawal for EU consumers

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) for certain digital services.

By starting a processing job (e.g. uploading a video and triggering AI processing) or by consuming credits, you expressly request that we begin providing the digital service before the end of the withdrawal period. You acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed (for example, when processing is completed) and we have started execution based on your request.

We will provide you with the relevant withdrawal information at checkout, where required by law.

8. Warranties and liability

Klypse is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of defects at all times, but we aim to provide a stable and reliable product.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits, loss of data or business interruption. Our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless mandatory law specifies otherwise.

9. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of laws principles. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence may also apply.

Where legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms is the competent court at the seat of the service provider (currently Schortens, Germany).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. In case of significant changes, we will inform you in an appropriate way. Continued use of Klypse after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
